Run a 90-day Claude Code pilot with your staff+ engineers. These are your highest-leverage people and the most likely to extract real value from agent workflows. Measure PR cycle time, incident rates, and self-reported productivity. Don't measure vibes — measure outcomes.

Redesign your hiring criteria around AI fluency, not just AI awareness. Add a practical evaluation component: give candidates a real task and access to their tools of choice. Watch how they work, not just what they produce. The engineers who use AI to amplify their judgment — not replace it — are the ones worth hiring at a premium.

Build review infrastructure before you scale AI output. If your team is generating 42% of code via AI tools (a reasonable estimate based on current adoption curves) and your review process was designed for human-only output, you have a quality gap.
